MAGNATE 7623 Pattern Extended Shank Router Bit - 3/4" Cutting Diameter; 3/4" Cutting Length; 1/2" Shank Diameter; 4-1/2" Shank Length; BR-09 Bearing; 2-Flute Carbide Tipped

This bit was originally designed for Legacy Ornamental Milling machines and allows precise milling of contoured profiles by following a template. It can handle turnings up to 10" in diameter, square turnings up to 5", and flat or square stock up to 5" thick. The router follows the template to cut approximately 1/4" deep per pass, typically requiring 2 3 passes. A bearing rides on the previous cut to stabilize the bit and reduce chatter. This bit is also suitable for use in a traditional router table for pattern cutting. The 4-1/2" shank length is measured from the knife's center to the shank end.

A carbide-tipped router bit delivers precision, durability, and smooth cutting performance for professional woodworking. Built with premium carbide edges on high-carbon steel body heat-treated as needed. it provides strength, clean cuts, and efficient chip removal when working with wood, plywood, and composites. Although designed primarily for woodworking, it can also cut non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, and copper when used at reduced speeds with proper lubrication. However, dedicated end mills are recommended for regular metalworking applications. For optimal results, select the shortest bit length that meets your project needs to minimize vibration, and always secure the workpiece to ensure safety and protect both the tool and the material.
