This flat-bottom counterbore is designed to create a cylindrical recess so that the heads of round head screws, hex bolts, and similar fasteners can sit flush or below the surface. Each tool includes a pilot drill to ensure accurate alignment and consistent results. It is excellent for drilling a wide variety of materials, including natural woods, man-made boards, MDF, chipboard, plywood, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals, aluminum composite material (ACM), composites, composite decking materials, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and acrylic. Warning: When drilling aluminum or other non-ferrous materials, use a suitable lubricant or air cooling to achieve optimal results and extend tool life. Always make sure the material is securely fixed and the drill is stable during operation.
