Magnate M150C38H4 Carbon Steel Bandsaw Blade, 150" Long - 3/8" Width; 4 Hook Tooth; 0.025" Thickness; 032" thickness also available; 12' 6" (12 feet 6 inch) Long
Cuts solid materials approximately 1" to 2-1/2" thick
For ease of shipping, all bandsaw blades are coiled into multiple rings. The image of a coiled bandsaw blade is for illustrative purposes only, represents a single blade, and may vary from the actual item. If the bandsaw blade teeth are facing the wrong direction for your machine, simply flip the blade inside out to correct its direction. All Magnate bandsaw blades are welded and fabricated in the USA. While the coils and materials used are from U.S. brands, they may be sourced overseas.
Carbon tool steel bandsaw blades are designed to work with a woodcutting saw to cut all types of woods 800-3,500 fpm; especially ideal for soft woods, i.e. pine, polar, fir and spruce. If used with a good release agent, it can cut plastics at a range of 200-800 fpm, or non-ferrous metal (i.e. aluminum, copper and brass) at a range of 200-1,000 fpm. However, to cut ferrous metals or mild steel (don't cut hard steel), you must only use a metal-cutting saw at a range of 40-200 fpm. Having liquid coolant running along the back of the blade yields the best results is highly recommended. The following is a guideline for choosing an adequate tooth pattern to cut materials, Use * 24 raker to cut 1/16" to 1/4" thick material, * 18 raker to cut 1/8" to 3/8" thick material, * 14 raker to cut 3/16" to 7/16" thick material, * 10 raker to cut 1/4" to 5/8" thick material, * 6 Hook to cut 3/8" to 2" thick material, * 4 Hook to cut 3/4" to 4-1/2" thick material, * 3 Hook to cut 1" to 6" thick material, * 2 Hook to cut 2" to 12" thick material.
Safety Warning: Bandsaw blades are tightly coiled like a spring for packaging and can suddenly snap open when being coiled or uncoiled. Always wear heavy-duty leather gloves, along with proper eye and body protection, and handle the blade with extreme caution. Improper handling can result in serious injury. Refer to your bandsaw owner's/operation manual for complete safety guidelines. Important: Always disconnect the power before installing, removing, or measuring blades.

If you are unsure of your bandsaw blade's correct length, follow these steps: Check the owner's manual for blade specifications, including length, width, and thickness. Refer to past invoices for blade details if the manual is unavailable. Measure your old blade with a soft cloth measuring tape: carefully uncoil the blade, press the tape firmly along the back edge, and record the full length. Measure on the floor: mark a starting point on both the blade and the floor, roll the blade in a straight line until the mark touches the floor again, then measure the distance between the two marks. As an alternative, cut the blade in half and lay it flat on a level surface to measure its full length accurately.
Cancer and Reproductive Harm WARNING: Cancer: Avoid Inhaling Wood Dust/Cobalt-metal-Powder ADVERTENCIA: Cancer - Evite inhalar polvo de madera/polvo metalico de cobalto Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Your risk from exposure to these chemicals varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. To reduce your exposure, work in a well-ventilated area and with approved safety equipment, such as dust masks that are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles.
