This micro-thin coating helps the cutting edge retain its sharpness and lubricity, providing longer tool life and high-quality cutting results. The coating also helps protect against heat buildup and oxidation, which can be detrimental to cutting tool performance. The distinctive multi-colored appearance may dissipate with use, but the nACo coating remains fully effective. With a hardness of approximately 4,500 Vickers at the cutting edges, nACo provides up to 2.5 times the durability of comparable uncoated bits.
